The Progressing Amer

The Progressing Amer was a positive media and community development organization based in Amer, Rajasthan, a rural town in northwestern India. It was created by myself along with nine women from Amer, all of whom taught with me at The Tushita Foundation in Amer. We organized trash clean ups, helped facilitate student photojournalism projects on topics such as teaching young girls karate, and built four basketball courts! The Progressing Amer was an exciting community organizing initiative that promoted community solidarity, recreation, and cleanliness, and it may just create a WNBA player named Kushboo in ten years!
